Short Bio:

Dr. Allen is the Nippon Life Professor of Finance and Professor of Economics at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, he is a co-director of Financial Institutions Center at Wharton, and formerly vice dean and director of Wharton Doctoral Programs. He has served in various editorial capacities at several of the world’s top academic journals for finance and economics. A frequent winner of Wharton teaching awards, Dr. Allen’s research has focused on corporate finance, asset pricing, the economics of information and financial crises. He is past president of the American Finance Association. Franklin Allen received his doctorate from the University of Oxford
